FAQ Delight Primary Care

What is Primary Care?

Primary care is the most affordable piece of the greater healthcare picture. Primary care is designed to maintain wellness and increase your quality of life.

How is Delight Primary Care different from other primary care offices?

Delight Primary Care provides primary care services and bills the patient directly with our monthly membership fees, without sending claims to insurance. This one simple change eliminates the burden that comes with working with insurance companies (low reimbursement, unnecessary paper work, expensive care for the patient).

Do You Buy Auto Insurance to Cover Gas or Oil Changes?

Of course not! Likewise, medical insurance was not designed to be used for health maintenance. Using insurance in this way dramatically increases the cost of primary care and forces providers to squeeze many more visits into their schedule to pay for that increased overhead. (This is why you have to wait so long in most doctors' waiting rooms - they are double and triple booked.) We don't do that.

Why Remove Insurance from Our Equation?

Removing insurance from primary care also removes the barriers that make traditional care so rushed and expensive. Simply put, we found a way to deliver accessible care at an affordable, predictable cost while simultaneously improving the patient experience.

Do I Still Need Insurance?

Yes. Insurance has an important place in healthcare, just not in primary and preventative care. However, you may not need the same kind of insurance when you sign up with Delight Primary Care. You may decide to consider less expensive insurance options. We do counsel all our patients to have some form of insurance or alternative plan in case of something catastrophic.

"What happens if I need to go to the hospital or see a specialist"?

In providing superb care with unprecedented sorts of access, we seek to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals. In instances where those types of care are required, we will work with your hospitalist during your hospital stay as well as work closely with any specialist when such care is needed. In some cases, depending on the level of care and the expertise required, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment

"If I have Medicare, can I still join Delight Primary Care"?

Yes. You only need to sign a one time waiver declaring that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for our services. Medicare will still cover laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations ordered by our office.

Whar If I Join and Don't Like It?

We strive to make all our patients happy, but if for some reason you are not satisfied, you can cancel your membership at any time. You will only be charged for the portion of the month you were a member prior to cancellation.

How Long do Subscriptions Last?

We offer monthly and yearly subscriptions; memberships will be renewed each year unless a cancellation request is given.
